Elevate Women in Agroecology (EWA) exists to put women at the centre of sustainable food systems — as farmers, educators, entrepreneurs and stewards of the land. We believe agriculture done well is both a livelihood and an act of care for creation, and that women who grow food deserve the training, resources, and recognition to lead in it.
Our name reflects our tagline: "Farming God's Way" — Her Voice, Everyone's Future. We work from urban sack gardens to school learning programmes, meeting communities where they are and growing alongside them.
To elevate women as leaders in agroecology — growing people, protecting nature, and building food systems that sustain families, communities and the environment for generations to come.
EWA works alongside women farmers in urban and peri-urban communities, school learners just beginning to understand where food comes from, and local markets and agripreneurs building livelihoods around sustainable growing. Our programmes — including GrowHer Urban Initiative and Little Agroecology Explorers — are how that mission reaches each of these groups.
